Week 14, Finally!

Thursday, February 26, 2009

So I have finally hit the 14 week mark, which means I am officially out of the first trimester of the pregnancy. The best part about this is that the chances of miscarriage significantly decrease at this stage, which is very reassuring.

This week our baby is supposedly the size of a lemon or 3 1/2 inches.

One really cool thing that I found out is that the baby is starting to learn how to clench its fist and move its fingers around. When I told John this the other day his response was, "Wow, Puller can't even do that!" : )

I have finally started to show (a little) which is really cool, but definitely makes it harder to get dressed in the morning. Today I think I tried on five different shirts before deciding on a hoodie for more room and comfort in the front. I'm sure it won't be long until even that won't work anymore!

I remember how relieved I was to get out of the first trimester... I loved being pregnant! It gets pretty uncomfortable, but it is an amazing experience... Pregnancy is NOTHING like motherhood... so just be prepared to not be prepared! I'm so excited for you... are you going to find out if it's a boy of girl? I'm hoping for boy! So our boys and rough it up together!

Do you want to go shopping at Tanger Saturday? Get some clothes for that baby and her/his momma?
