This week the baby is about the size of a Mango, and now that I think about it a mango sounds pretty darn good right now!During this week there is a greasy white substance that is beginning to coat the baby's skin. This shields it from its long vacation sitting inside the amniotic fluid. Just think of how you would look after taking a nine-month bath, gross. Obviously some sort of skin protection is needed. This coating is called the Vernix Caseosa and is sometimes still visible on the baby at birth (thank goodness it cleans off!).
